Denihan and Pebblebrook Enter Into JV
NEW YORK–Denihan Hospitality Group and Pebblebrook Hotel Trust have formed a joint venture under which the REIT will acquire a 49% stake in six Denihan properties.
The six properties are in New York and include Denihans Affinia and Benjamin-branded hotels. The deal is valued at $910 million.
Among REITs, Pebblebrook has been an especially aggressive acquirer of lodging assets this year. For Denihan, a family-owned company that has been growing outside its New York base in recent years, the infusion of capital will allow it to accelerate its expansion strategy even more.
